Welcome to Altius Polymers Pty Ltd. These Terms and Conditions apply when you access our website, purchase products, request a quotation, or use our services.

By using this website or placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and are intended to operate alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

1. About Altius Polymers

Altius Polymers Pty Ltd supplies plastic sheets, rods, engineering plastics, fabrication services, and related products to customers across Australia.

Our products may include acrylic, polycarbonate, PVC, HDPE, UHMWPE, nylon, acetal, PTFE, PEEK, polypropylene, plastic mirrors, and other industrial plastic materials.

2. Use of This Website

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the website.

You must not misuse this website, attempt unauthorised access, upload harmful code, copy content without permission, or use the website in a way that may damage our business, systems, or reputation.

3. Product Information

We aim to ensure that all product descriptions, images, dimensions, colours, specifications, and pricing information displayed on our website are accurate and up to date.

However, product images are provided for general reference only. Colours, finishes, textures, thicknesses, and appearances may vary slightly depending on screen settings, lighting, manufacturing tolerances, and supplier batches.

For technical or critical applications, we recommend contacting us before ordering so we can help confirm material suitability.

4. Material Suitability

It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that the selected material is suitable for the intended application, environment, installation method, and performance requirements.

We may provide general guidance, product information, or recommendations, but final material selection remains the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For industrial, engineering, food contact, chemical, safety, glazing, or high-performance applications, customers should request technical advice before purchase.

5. Orders

When you place an order through our website, you are making an offer to purchase products in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

An order is not accepted until we confirm the order, receive payment where required, and begin processing the goods.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or amend an order where a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced, incorrectly described, affected by a website error, or unable to be supplied.

6. Custom Orders and Cut-to-Size Products

Custom-cut, machined, fabricated, special-order, or made-to-measure products are produced according to the details provided by the customer.

Please check all sizes, thicknesses, colours, quantities, drawings, and specifications carefully before confirming your order.

Custom products cannot usually be cancelled, returned, or refunded for change of mind once production has started, unless required under the Australian Consumer Law.

7. Pricing

All prices are listed in Australian dollars unless stated otherwise.

Prices may change without notice due to supplier pricing, freight costs, currency changes, material availability, or website updates.

If a product is displayed with an incorrect price due to an error, we may cancel the order, correct the price, and provide you with the option to proceed at the corrected price or receive a refund.

8. GST

Where applicable, prices include GST unless otherwise stated.

Tax invoices will be provided in accordance with Australian taxation requirements.

9. Payment

Payment must be made using the payment methods available at checkout or as otherwise agreed with us.

Orders may not be processed until payment has been received and cleared.

For approved business or trade accounts, payment terms may be agreed separately in writing.

10. Quotations

Quotations are valid only for the period stated on the quotation. If no period is stated, the quotation may be subject to change without notice.

A quotation does not guarantee stock availability unless confirmed by us in writing.

Any changes to sizes, quantities, materials, drawings, machining, fabrication, delivery location, or specifications may result in a revised price.

11. Delivery

We deliver products across Australia using courier, freight, or logistics providers.

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary due to stock availability, fabrication time, courier delays, weather, public holidays, remote delivery locations, or events outside our control.

We are not liable for delays once goods have been handed to a freight or courier provider, but we will assist where possible to resolve delivery issues.

12. Delivery Address

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an incorrect address is supplied, additional freight charges, redelivery fees, or return costs may apply.

Large sheets, rods, pallets, or bulky industrial materials may require a business address, forklift access, or suitable unloading arrangements.

13. Risk and Ownership

Risk in the products passes to the customer once the goods are delivered to the nominated address or collected by the customer or their nominated carrier.

Ownership of the products passes to the customer once full payment has been received.

14. Inspection on Delivery

Please inspect your order as soon as it arrives.

If your order appears damaged, incorrect, incomplete, or faulty, please contact us promptly with your order number, photos, and a description of the issue.

Claims for freight damage should be reported as soon as possible so we can assist with the carrier process.

15. Returns and Change of Mind

We may accept returns for standard stock items where the product is unused, undamaged, in original condition, and returned within a reasonable time, subject to approval.

Change-of-mind returns may not be accepted for custom-cut, fabricated, machined, special-order, or made-to-measure products.

Return freight costs may be the responsibility of the customer unless the product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, or otherwise covered by the Australian Consumer Law.

16. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement, repair, refund, or other remedy where goods or services fail to meet a consumer guarantee.

These rights apply in addition to any warranties or policies provided by Altius Polymers.

17. Faulty or Incorrect Products

If a product is faulty, incorrectly supplied, damaged, or does not match its description, please contact us as soon as possible.

We may request photos, measurements, batch details, or return of the product so we can assess the issue.

Where required under Australian Consumer Law, we will provide an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, refund, or another suitable solution.

18. Product Tolerances

Plastic sheets, rods, tubes, and fabricated components may be subject to manufacturing and cutting tolerances.

Thickness, length, width, colour, finish, flatness, and surface appearance may vary within acceptable commercial or manufacturer tolerances.

If your project requires strict tolerances, please advise us before ordering.

19. Installation and Use

Customers are responsible for correct handling, storage, installation, fabrication, and use of products after delivery.

We are not responsible for damage caused by incorrect installation, unsuitable tools, incorrect fixing methods, chemical exposure, excessive heat, poor storage, misuse, or use outside the product’s intended purpose.

This limitation does not exclude any rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

24. Events Outside Our Control
